Beetroot Shakshuka with Pickled Carrot Relish

Sometimes all it takes is a few strong colors and flavors to make a dish special: earthy beetroot, warmly spiced tomatoes, softly poached eggs – and on top a fresh, tangy carrot relish that brings everything to life. This Shakshuka combines depth, spice, and freshness into a comfort food that surprises and leaves a lasting impression.

Batch cooking isn't just about preparation; it's also about refinement. This is where the pickled carrot relish comes in: once prepared, it keeps for several days in the refrigerator and adds that certain something to new dishes. Whether with Shakshuka, bowls, or sandwiches – one spoonful is enough to turn simple ingredients into something special.

As a teaser from our Pickles Batch Cooking Week in the e-book, this recipe shows how versatile and creative batch cooking can be. Pickled vegetables bring freshness, texture, and flavor to everyday life – and prove that prepared components can be not only practical but also truly exciting.
