Preparing fermented oats
Ingredients for Fermented Oats
For 1 serving in a bowl
- 4 tbsp rolled oats
- 80 ml water kefir
- optional 1 tsp maple syrup or honey
To ferment the oats
Place oats in a glass or bowl and mix with water kefir. Optionally, stir in maple syrup or honey. Cover loosely and let ferment at room temperature for 12–16 hours until the oats are soft and slightly tangy.

Ingredients for the Breakfast Bowl
- 1 tbsp hemp seeds
- 2–3 tbsp plant-based milk
- ½ apple, finely grated
- 1 small handful of raspberries
- 1 tsp almond butter or cashew butter
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
Preparation
1. Prepare the base
Place the fermented oats in a bowl. Stir in hemp seeds, plant-based milk, and finely grated apple until a creamy consistency is achieved.
Hemp seeds provide valuable fatty acids and essential amino acids, making the recipe even more nutritious.
2. Arrange the bowl
Place the oat mixture in a bowl. Distribute the raspberries on top, drizzle with nut butter, and sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon.
