The all-rounder for your kitchen and beyond
Fresh at the touch of a button
Sliced fruit and vegetables, provisions, or for batch cooking and meal prepping – with the LIEBLINGSGLAS vacuum pump, you can keep your food fresh longer in jars.
Vacuum sealing in jars: Vacuum sealing made easy.
The electric pump extracts air from your Mason Jar, reducing the content's contact with oxygen. This limits oxidation inside, keeping your food fresh longer and full of nutrients – without any loss of flavor. You can find more about vacuum sealing in jars on our Blog.
Our Mason Jars (Oleni & Ripple) are multi-functional – from keeping food fresh to freezing, fermenting, or as a decorative element in your kitchen. They are heat and cold resistant and have an airtight stainless steel lid (one-piece) that guarantees maximum freshness.
Our vacuum pump (individually) comes standard with 4 stainless steel plates (Wide Mouth) – if you need more, you can easily purchase the two-piece stainless steel lids in your preferred jar opening separately.

How do I clean the vacuum pump?
This device is not waterproof. To clean: Wipe it with a damp cloth. If water splashes on the device, remove it as quickly as possible. Do not place the device in water or other liquids and do not clean it under running water to avoid damage.
Can the vacuum pump also be used with a one-piece lid?
No! To extract oxygen from the jar, the pump must only be placed on the stainless steel lid plate of the two-piece lid (without the ring!).
How do I reopen the vacuum-sealed jar?
Use the included opening tool (black) to gently lift/pry it open from the side. Do not pull upwards forcefully. A spoon can also be used. It is important to note that its use is not like a classic bottle opener. → See instructions below.
How long do vacuum-sealed foods last?
That depends on the product: Fresh ingredients such as fruit, vegetables, or meat stay fresh for about three to five times longer when vacuum-sealed. Dry provisions like oatmeal or coffee beans can often last for months to years.
Does vacuum sealing help against pests?
Yes – the airtight seal prevents pests like moths from entering the jar.
Can I freeze vacuum-sealed jars?
Absolutely. Just make sure not to fill the jar to the brim – liquids expand when frozen and could damage the jar.
What foods can be vacuum-sealed?
Almost anything that fits into a jar: From dry provisions like spices, nuts, and grains to fresh ingredients and pre-cooked meals.
Safety & Storage
General Information
- Observe refrigeration requirements: Meat, fish, and dairy products always belong in the refrigerator or freezer – even if they are vacuum-sealed.
- Do not store for too long: Vacuum sealing extends shelf life but does not replace proper storage.
- When in doubt, dispose of it: If the smell, color, or consistency changes, it's better not to use it.
- Consider the risk of botulism: In low-oxygen environments, dangerous bacteria such as Clostridium botulinum can form with improper storage – especially in low-acid foods (e.g., pumpkin or root vegetables). Therefore, always cool well, acidify, or heat sufficiently!
- Use acid addition: A squeeze of lemon juice or a little vinegar can additionally extend shelf life – especially for sensitive foods.
Storage tips
for longer shelf life
Fresh Foods (Fruit, Vegetables, Meat)
- Cut fruit stays fresh longer with a little lemon juice.
- For very moist fruit (e.g., strawberries), place a paper towel in the jar.
- Always store meat well chilled and consume soon.
Dry Stores
- Ideal for vacuum sealing – they don't spoil quickly but lose flavor over time.
- Vacuum sealing also protects them from pests.
Cooked Meals
- Vacuum seal after cooling and store directly in the refrigerator.
- Here too, vacuum sealing does not replace proper refrigeration.
How our vacuum pump works
It's simple: place the stainless steel plate on the jar, attach the pump, and switch it on (for about 30 seconds). The electric pump extracts the air from the jar – the vacuum ensures that the rubber seal presses firmly against the rim. This creates an airtight seal.
If you want to remove the plate, use the included opening tool (black). Place the tip of the opening tool at the widest part of the jar rim (between the upper groove on the jar and the lid). Make sure the tool is slightly angled. Carefully twist the opening tool towards you; the lid should now lift and the vacuum should escape with a hiss.
The Size Switch
There are two attachments: one for Wide Mouth and one for Regular Mouth Mason Jars.
Attaching the Regular Mouth attachment:

Attaching the Wide Mouth attachment:
- Turn the Regular Mouth attachment clockwise.
- Remove the Regular Mouth attachment after you hear a "click".
