My Hot Honey Recipe
🕒 Preparation time: 5 minutes
⏳ Fermentation time: approx. 48 hours
🍶 Yields: 1 jar (0.3 L)
🌱 Vegan, lactose-free & anti-inflammatory
Ingredients
5 red chilies
4 cloves garlic
1 onion
approx. 100-200 ml untreated organic honey
Directions
I use our Oleni Mason Jar | Wide | 0.3 L - it's perfect for one portion.
Cut chili, onion, and garlic into small pieces, then fill the jar with honey so that all ingredients are covered with honey.
The jar then goes to a quiet place for 48 hours at room temperature.
Afterward, stir it; the consistency should now be significantly more liquid, and the hot honey with chili is infused.
Then, the hot honey with chili is your go-to topping for your barbecue. See it as your all-rounder for marinades or sauces, for example. The sweet and spicy flavors are the perfect contrast to each other.
