Batch Cooking Day 5: Winter Salad with Garlic Bread
Today, on the 5th and final day of our Vegetarian Batch Cooking Week, we are conjuring up a particularly delicious highlight - a refreshing winter salad with garlic bread. As with the previous batch cooking dishes, we have already prepared some of the ingredients for this recipe on Prep Day . This makes it easier for us to prepare it quickly. The recipe: Winter salad with garlic bread
Enough for 4 servings
Ingredients:
- Colorful, green winter salad (we used a colorful mix)
- 1/2 pomegranate
- 1 orange
- 1 grapefruit/ pomelo
- 1 avocado
- 70 g walnuts
- Pickled Red Onions
- a small handful of fresh coriander
Preparation:
- washing the lettuce
- Cut the avocado into slices
- Add walnuts, grapefruit, orange, pomegranate, pickled red onions, and fresh coriander and mix
Mix the dressing:
- Mix olive oil and the juice of 2 limes with salt and pepper
- 2 teaspoons black sesame seeds
Optionally, you can roast, toast or pan-fry the sourdough bread as desired before generously spreading it with the garlic paste prepared on prep day. Then pour the dressing over the salad and simply enjoy!
